DOES DESIGNING THE CURRICULUM HELP YOU THINK THROUGH HOW TO CREATE THE BEST LEARNING ENVIRONMENT FOR THE LEARNERS?
Yes, it does lead the learner towards the goal which will help them acquire and retain skills longer. The designing curriculum must be discussed and clearly define as the current education need to address and specific trends and issues which relate to the learning environment.

A good designing will make learners participate or involve voluntarily. The best learning environment will be community orientated environment whereby putting together a classroom or more students will create fun learning whereby they will feel involved and responsible for their own learning as well as being comfortable enough to actively participate in individual and group activities. The positive attitude  or learning will allow the learners to build self- esteem and be a successful student.

By designing a curriculum will help to have a systematic approach towards the learners, by doing this it will creates a positive learning environment in the classroom which will allow the learners to fill comfortable, safe and engaged. If the learners given the oppournity to became responsible for their own learning , they will be more likely to benefit from the lesson and also to be self- motivated.

That's all from me. Thank You.

TYPES OF CURRICULUM

REFLECTION QUESTION: WHICH OF THE CURRICULUM TYPE YOU THINK WORKS THE BEST FOR THE STUDENTS ?

Curriculum has the effect on student achievement and teacher's quality. There are six type of curriculum which is written curriculum, supported curriculum, taught curriculum, tested curriculum, recommended curriculum and learned curriculum.

The curriculum type I think would be the best for student in this era is supported curriculum. The supported curriculum is the curriculum reflected in and shaped by the resources allocated to support and deliver it to students. Supported curriculum are the materials that support or help in the implementation of a written curriculum. These refers to the support curriculum that includes material resources such as textbooks, computers, audio-visual materials, laboratory equipment, playground, zoos and other facilities.

The supported curriculum continuous to have strong influence on the taught curriculum especially for elementary teachers who teach four or five subjects. The textbook and other general resources is often their major sources of content knowledge. It also helps the students to achieve real and lifelong learning.

WHAT IS CURRICULUM?

Curriculum is often defined as the courses offered by a school, but it is rarely used in such a general sense in schools. Depending on how broadly educators define or employ in term, curriculum typically refers to the knowledge and skills students are expected to learn, which includes the learning standards or learning objective  they are expected to meet. The units and lessons that teachers teach, the assignments and projects given to students , the books, materials, videos, presentations, and readings used in a course and the tests, assessments, and other methods used to evaluate student learning. An individual teacher’s curriculum, for example, would be the specific learning standards, lessons, assignments, and materials used to organize and teach a particular course.

REFLECTION QUESTION   :
WITHOUT CURRICULUM, STUDENT LEARNING AND TEACHERS TEACHING WOULD BE BETTER.YES OR NO

I totally disagree with the statement above. A school would even die without a curriculum and students would have no chance to learn, gain more knowledge and experience new things. Without a curriculum, school life would be chaos because students and teachers consider this as a guide which helps the school to have an organized plan of activities that should be done in that particular year. Depending on my own interpretations, I have come to realize that curriculum is what a school importantly needs.
